Chevron Supports Mines Students

Chevron Vice President of Exploration, Bobby Ryan, came to campus to present the company’s 2016/17 gift of $255,000 to Mines and celebrate with Chevron scholarship recipients, Chevron future employees (intern and full-time) and leaders of the student chapters which benefit from the investment in Mines.

Chevron’s support reaches far across campus with major gifts to ten academic departments, a dozen student-led groups and clubs and multiple scholarships, fellowships and externships. Funds will also support labs, senior design initiatives and a sponsorship of a petroleum engineering short course. In addition to cross-disciplinary support, Chevron is investing in underrepresented students through support of Women in Science, Engineering & Mathematics, the Multicultural Engineering Program and other campus programs.
